Mark is a Wealth Advisor with Avior Wealth Management.
Mark is an Omaha native and learned about investing through his dad who was an Omaha banker. At the age of 15, he made his first investment in Steiger tractor stock and attended his first annual meeting at Happy Hollow Country Club with his dad. He was the youngest investor at the meeting by at least 20 years, but he listened intently to the dialogue and was hooked on the investing world. Because his passion for investing aligns with his purpose – helping others navigate their finances – Mark finds his work perpetually fulfilling.
He and his wife of 36 years married in 1985 and moved to the Los Angeles area. Mark completed his college education with a degree in Finance from California State University-Northridge. After 5 ½ years in CA, they moved back and built their current home near Plattsmouth. Mark enrolled in the Certified Financial Planning program, where he received his CFP® designation in 1994.
Mark and his wife, Diane, have two girls of whom they are very proud. Kara, the oldest, is a labor and delivery nurse at Bergan Mercy hospital, and their younger daughter, Alaina, is going to follow in dad’s footsteps. She is completing her last year at UNO and will graduate in May 2022 with a degree in finance.
An avid music fan, Mark has been known to play in a few bands over the last 30 years and enjoys singing and playing guitar whenever he can.
Mark has had the unique opportunity to return to Avior to become a partner and close out the remainder of his career among a very caring team of professionals who are dedicated to the craft of financial planning.
