Brian is a Tax Professional and Director for Verdant, a d/b/a of Avior Tax & Accounting.
Brian was born and raised in Elkhorn, Nebraska. His college career at the University of Nebraska ebbed and flowed from Architecture to Construction Management to Psychology to Finance; all in his freshman year. He inevitably received his Business Finance degree and began his life-long career as a Financial Advisor. That life-long career lasted 3 years, and in 2004 he ultimately succumbed to his destiny by joining the family accounting firm as his father and grandfather before him. Brian continued his education and received his master’s in accounting, obtained his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and his Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation.
Brian’s “Why statement” is: To be relied upon and appreciated, so that we can all grow and prosper. The thing he loves most about his job is working with clients and other entrepreneurs to help build something bigger and better than they ever imagined. Tax returns are simply a byproduct of the truly valuable work. He loves working with business owners to brainstorm ways to increase revenue, decrease expenses, and improve customer service. Brian is truly a visionary leader, strategic entrepreneur, small business advocate and developer of culture and people.
Brian has taken that passion to the Not-for-Profit realm as well. He is the former President of the Nebraska chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) and has continued on his path of leadership in EO as a current Area Director for the US Central Region overseeing 5 major cities in the Midwest.
For fun, Brian still loves to snow ski (blew out left knee in 2022), play racquetball (blew out right knee in 2014), travel and cook. His ongoing, and most enjoyable endeavor is developing his 3 children into the leaders they are destined to be.
