Daniel is a Tax Professional and Manager for Avior Tax & Accounting.
Daniel brings a unique and diverse background to his role. Having grown up in various European countries as the son of an Air Force pilot, his journey eventually led him back to the US and North Dakota for the final year of high school and college at UND in Grand Forks, where he earned a BS in Chemistry.
Following college, Daniel immersed himself in the oil and natural gas industry for several years. During a remote assignment, he seized the opportunity to study and successfully complete parts of the CPA exam. However, the industry downturn in 2013 prompted a shift in his career path. In the same year, he commenced his Master of Professional Accountancy (MPA) at the University of South Dakota, culminating with the passage of the final section of the CPA exam.
Since 2014, Daniel has navigated various roles in both public and private accounting, consistently incorporating tax work into his professional portfolio. What began as a seasonal commitment, initially justified by the goal of paying off student loans, evolved into a genuine passion for tax-related endeavors. Daniel appreciates the people and relationship aspects inherent in tax, distinguishing it from the corporate finance realm. Fortunately, his wife, a healthcare professional, understood and supported this career transition.
Presently residing in Sioux Falls, SD, Daniel is happily married with three children. While the winter and spring seasons keep him occupied, he dedicates his summer and fall to family leisure at the local water park and indulges in his role as a Certified Flight Instructor, imparting his aviation knowledge to aspiring pilots.
