Jean Hanson is a Senior Tax Professional at Avior, where she focuses on preparing and filing individual, corporate and non-profit tax returns, consulting with tax clients, and advising tax clients on business decisions involving taxes. With more than 25 years of experience in Tax Accounting, Jean Hanson has developed a strong expertise in business as well as individual taxes.
Prior to joining Avior, she worked as a CPA for Schwarz and Associates and Bland and Associates, she has also worked as an EA at Hemenway Services. Jean spent almost two decades working as an accounting professional in non-profits here in Omaha. Her background in business taxes, as well as individual taxes, including clergy taxes, has equipped her with a deep understanding of both business and individual tax matters.
Jean Hanson holds an MBA with a concentration in Human Resources from the University of Nebraska – Omaha and a BSBA from Creighton University majoring in Accounting with a support in Computer Science, and she has served and is currently serving on non-profit boards. She is passionate about our community and keeping it strong and viable and is committed to assisting businesses and individuals attain their goals.
In her spare time, Jean Hanson enjoys camping, traveling and being outdoors, which she believes contributes to her being able to serve clients better by having a better work/life balance.
