Matthew Shepperd is a Tax Professional – Senior Manager with 13 years of experience providing comprehensive tax planning and consulting services to individuals, business owners, and complex entities. His expertise spans S Corporations, partnerships, individuals, trusts and estates, gift tax, tax distribution planning, state income tax nexus, and charitable giving strategies, with deep industry experience across manufacturing, construction, professional services, consumer and industrial products, and investment partnerships.
Over the course of his career, Matthew has helped clients realize more than $1.5 million in permanent federal, state, and local tax savings through amended returns, strategic elections, and method changes. He is particularly passionate about proactive, year-round tax planning, working closely with clients on multi-year projections to identify optimal strategies in an evolving tax landscape. Matthew holds both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky. He is a member of the AICPA and the Ohio Society of CPAs, and maintains strong ties to his alma mater as a lifetime member of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association.
