Tax Professional / Principal Manger / Owner

Stacy is a Tax Professional and Principal Manager for Verdant, a d/b/a of Avior Tax & Accounting

Stacy grew up in the Omaha area, graduating from Papillion LaVista High School.  She attended the University of Nebraska for the first part of her college career before transferring to Missouri State University when her family relocated to Springfield, Missouri.  Stacy received her bachelor’s degree in accounting in December 1999.

After graduation, Stacy wanted to move back to the Omaha area, and accepted a position with Patry and Associates, later known as Patry, Fisher and Dudley.  Stacy worked her way up to partner in 2009, then in 2014 the firm was acquired by Verdant, known at the time as Goracke and Associates.  Stacy is now a tax professional under the Avior Wealth umbrella.  She has worked under five different company names, but never changed jobs.

Stacy always envisioned herself working in public accounting for two or three years in order to obtain the CPA license, then transitioning over to the private accounting world.  It didn’t take long for her to realize that public accounting was the perfect fit for her outgoing personality.  Stacy enjoys working with her clients to employ strategies that will minimize tax liabilities while complying with the complex rules of the federal and state tax codes.  Throughout her career, she has worked with countless small business owners on their corporate and partnership returns, as well as individuals with tax situations involving sole proprietorships, rental real estate, and varied investment income.  Stacy also works on many trust and estate returns.  She finds great satisfaction in helping families navigate the income tax side of an estate situation.  Stacy is currently a member of the Nebraska Society of CPAs and the Omaha Estate Planning Council.

In her free time, Stacy loves to watch college football and is very grateful that tax season and football season do not intersect.  She is an avid Husker fan, and remembers that when she was in college at UNL, the team won two national championships.  Each year she hopes that level of success will return!  She makes frequent trips to Missouri to visit family and enjoys travelling with her friends on random girls’ trips.
